Local 51 is a small sized Local serving a geographic area which includes but is not limited to the following counties in New York State: All of Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin and Herkimer counties. All of Lewis County excepting Osceola, High Market, West Turin,Constableville, Lewis, Leydon, Lyons Falls, Lyonsdale and Port Leydon. The following in Oneida County: Utica, Rome, Remsen, Prospect, Trenton, Holland Patent, Deerfield, Marcy, Oriskany, Whitestown, Whitesboro, New York Mills, Yorkville, New Hartford, Clinton, Kirkland, Augusta, Oriskany Falls, Marshall, Waterville, Paris, Clayville, Sangerfield, Bridgewater, Forestport; all of Hamilton County north of Speculator and Madison, Lake Morraine, Hamilton, Earlville and Brookfield in Madison County.Our mission is to place the interests and well being of our members as the most important priority for our existence. We do that through organizing, collective bargaining and operating a job referral service as well as through legislative and political action. |
